Well after a mammoth break I’m back and working on some lovely new wedding stationery! Hooray!

Lots to catch up on and many updates pending (including some big website changes *gulp*), but for today just a quick sneak peak at some of the new designs that have been keeping me up ’til the wee small hours….

Well, our wedding invitations are (mostly) out there, and being admired by the honoured few on our list of nearest and dearest… so I thought it was only right to share them with the rest of the world!

We went for a vintage ticket style invitation – this just seemed to go so well with our old school seaside theme! I think they are just right for our venue… and the scalloped edging on the ticket envelope is just like the detail on some of the beach hut type buildings around the spa complex.

The tickets themselves were intended to be a bit of fun, and an easy way of fitting lots of information in without having pages and pages of inserts!  For the ticket envelopes we’ve used good old sturdy brown card, with peach and cream polka dot ribbon on top.  It had to be polka dot or a stripe… i’ve got a big love of anything spotty or stripey!

I’m experimenting at the moment with a few different colours, and they will be available to buy in my online shops at Etsy and Folksy very soon.  Alternatively you can request a sample using the sample order form and see what you think!!

In other news… we’ve got less than 8 weeks until the big day.  Some major loose end tying to be done ’round here this week!

Still to do… transport from the hotel to the venue for me, my dad and my girls… we wanted a camper van, but so far no joy!  Family and friends have been very ‘helpfully’ suggesting alternatives, the most popular being for us to ride donkeys, arrive on a pirate ship… golf buggies?! Oh you guys!

 If you know a cute VW campervan available for 15 mins on the 20th August in Scarborough PLEASE let me know!! 

We also need to visit the venue again and make sure they’re ready for my OCD decorating mission! God bless them!

Otherwise it’s coming together… we went sweetie shopping last night for the pic ‘n’ mix for the evening party.  I think we got a bit carried away!  Oh well… after all the money we’re spending on the wedding, times might be tough for a while – but at least we’ll have a lifetime supply of marshmallows to keep us going!

So over the last few weeks… what have I been up to? 

 I’ve been battling with photoshop, to design a new logo for the lovely Angie at The Flower Stylist.  This is the shop I spent many years making lovely bouquets and wedding flowers in… I must admit I am missing the flowers, and the social aspect of working with someone else!  We still meet for coffee and gossip… but it’s not the same as being able to gush/rant all day long with someone who understands what you’re blabbering on about!

The logo isn’t live yet, but when it is i’ll post it here. Take a look at the site though… there’s some gorgeous wedding inspiration to feast your eyes on!  

Angie now focuses exclusively on wedding flowers and she’s blooming (sorry, couldn’t resist!) good at it too! If you’re marrying in East Yorkshire and looking for the best flowers in town then give her a shout!

Angie is very kindly helping me with my own wedding flowers in August, I get very excited when I think about the flowers!  Peonies, scented roses, hydrangea, delphinium, daisies, lily of the valley… heaven!!!

It’s probably about time I did a wedding planning update too…

I’ve been working on a number of different things, all at the same time and not getting anywhere fast!  So one project at a time from now on!

It’s been an exciting week personally too as I went to try on my WEDDING DRESS for the first time… eeeeeeeeee!!!!

Can’t say much, ‘cos the mister doesn’t want to know a single thing about it… but it’s perfect in every way and fits like a dream!  Goes with the shoes i’ve bought and everything, perfect!

So, exciting news of new projects coming up sooon… but for now I thought i’d share a few new baby cards as they are practically non existent in the card galleries… and actually, they are quite a large percentage of the type of cards I get asked for!
How cute, to have a card delivered with your new born bubba’s name across the front!

Something to treasure forever and ever… and they’d look so sweet hung in a little vintage frame on baby’s nursery wall or door.  I can’t think of a more worthy occassion to have a card custom made for than the birth of a gorgeous new baby!

That’s all for today, off for a catch up coffee with some very lovely ladies, then awaiting the arrival of my dad for bank holiday weekend… better go to supermarket and stock up
